All of this was a waste of time anyway though as RPCS3 cannot run ISO files. There must be some sort of encryption used on these Blu-Ray PS3 discs which Redump preserves, so after creating an ISO from the IRD you have to use PS3Dec to re-encrypt the ISO with the key found on the game's Redump entry. I could understand if I had a bad "scene" dump or something, but literally everything checks out in the IRD.ĮDIT: So I figured this out and it had nothing to do with PS3UPDAT.PUP.

So can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? This is seriously driving me nuts. I downloaded that file specifically, and I'm sure it's not any weird Debug / DEX file or anything, it's the Retail / CEX file and it does light up green along with everything else when the IRD is loaded. I'm also using the PS3UPDAT.PUP version that is says the game uses, which in this game's case is 4.01. All of this was a waste of time anyway though as. Oh, and I'm using the "Plain Header" option, by the way. EDIT: So I figured this out and it had nothing to do with PS3UPDAT.PUP. So I've tried sneaking the original PS3UPDAT.PUP file back into the folder just before building (building fails), have tried just leaving it in there and then building without IRD (builds some Cobra **** ISO), removing the PS3UPDAT.PUP file and only having the PS3_UPDATE folder. What's really bugging me is that immediately upon loading the JB folder into PS3 ISO Rebuilder, the PS3UPDAT.PUP file I put into the PS3_UPDATE folder (which is in the "root" JB folder if you will) magically transforms from 180 MB to 256 MB! And yet supposedly, according to the IRD file, all of the files check out. What can I do about this? Everyone seems to swear by this program, but I've tried every combination of things and no matter what, when I recreate the JB folder using the IRD (with all files green, none missing, etc), the CRC literally NEVER matches Redump.
